Educational Tools
We want you to make informed decisions about your dental care, so we fully explain treatment options and provide additional information. During your checkup or new patient exam, we’ll take pictures inside your mouth with an intraoral camera and display them on a chairside monitor. These images will give you the information you need to make wise decisions. Short CAESY Patient Education videos offer another good source of information about treatment options.
Dr. Hedge and Dr. Frazar offer smile previews using our digital imaging software or a wax up, which is a model of your smile altered to show potential outcomes.
Modern Diagnostics
Our team uses technology and state-of-the-art equipment for fast, efficient diagnoses and treatment of dental issues. Digital X-rays provide a complete view of your oral health and emit about 80% less radiation than traditional radiography. We view the images immediately on chairside monitors and electronically transmit them insurance companies and specialists.
During your checkup or new patient exam, Dr. Hedge or Dr. Frazar will use a DIAGNOdent laser to check for dental decay. The laser scans teeth, identifying areas of demineralization, which precede cavities. Early detection allows us to restore oral health before significant damage occurs.
VELscope, our oral cancer-screening tool, uses light technology to identify suspicious mouth lesions that require follow-up. Oral cancer is a painless, stealthy disease that claims the lives of 7,500 Americans each year. Early detection greatly improves survival chances. We'll use VELscope at your new patient exam and each checkup.
Progressive Tools and Technology
